Project Barrow is a community mission initiative providing students with the opportunity to live out their faith through service. Project Barrow is a multi-church partnership that executes various construction and community projects in the Barrow County area in order to reach this community with the Gospel!
 
 
 
 

We invite you to participate in Project Barrow 2012 – an exciting summer event where students and adults will be serving our community. We challenge our students to show the change in their hearts by serving others. This summer, our focus will be our own home – the Barrow County Area. This event will begin Sunday evening July 15, 2012, and end on Friday morning July 20, 2012.
 
First Baptist Church of Winder will partner with local churches, the City of Winder, Winder Housing Authority, and Barrow Co. Habitat for Humanity to work on identified homes/areas in Barrow County. Each home/area will be assigned a crew of youth and adults who will complete a needed home repair/construction project or serve others in the community through opportunities such as block parties, sports camps and acts of kindness. Materials and supplies are being donated. Our youth and adults will provide the labor. There will be no cost to the homeowner.
 
Our students are putting their hearts into helping others and serving God for one week out of their summer.
We are asking for your help in making this happen! We need your support in providing meals, donating food, groceries, paper products, or funds to purchase food items. All food donated will go toward feeding the 200+ workers that participate in this mission. ALL donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance in providing this opportunity for our churches to serve our community and to share the love of Christ while doing so.
